Identity and Profile Verification

Ebbli asks members to provide real information and verifies identity through phone number and email. This helps prevent fraud and creates accountability.

Verification reduces risk — it does not eliminate it. It is not a background check, and it does not confirm someone’s character, intentions, or relationship history. Always use your own judgment.

Meeting Someone in Person

When Ebbli introduces you to a match, the same care that applies to any new relationship applies here:

• Talk or video call before meeting in person, so you know who you’re actually meeting.
• Meet in a public place for at least your first few meetings, and arrange your own transport there and back.
• Tell a trusted friend or family member who you’re meeting, where, and when.
• Never send money, gifts, or financial information to a match you haven’t met in person — this is the single most common warning sign of a romance scam.
• Be cautious of anyone who avoids video calls or in-person meetings, rushes toward commitment, or asks to move the conversation off Ebbli and WhatsApp immediately.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave.
• If you experience pressure, manipulation, coercion, or threats, contact local authorities immediately, then tell Ebbli.

Reporting and Blocking

If a match makes you feel unsafe, or you encounter harassment, a scam, or harmful behavior, you can report it directly on WhatsApp or from your profile. Ebbli reviews every safety report and takes action — reports involving safety, not just etiquette, are prioritized above all other requests.

You can also block a member and control who can contact you.

Moderation

Ebbli staff review reported content, investigate complaints, and remove members who violate our guidelines. Our moderation focuses on protecting people, not on controlling speech — we act on hate speech, harassment, exploitation, fraud, and threats, not disagreement or criticism.

Romance Scam & Fraud Prevention

Ebbli actively works to identify and remove scams:

• We remove fake profiles that impersonate real people.
• We investigate reports of members asking matches for money, gifts, or financial help — a classic romance-scam pattern.
• We educate members about common fraud and manipulation patterns.
• We work with local authorities to investigate serious crimes.

Privacy Protection

Your personal information is protected by encryption. We do not sell your data to advertisers or brokers. Your messages are private unless you choose to share them.

We share data with trusted service providers only when necessary to operate Ebbli, or when required by law for safety or a criminal investigation.

Age Requirement

Ebbli’s matchmaking service is for adults 18 and older only. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account or receive introductions.

We actively remove sexual exploitation, child abuse material, and predatory behavior. If you encounter these, or believe someone under 18 is using Ebbli, report it immediately to [email protected].

AI Safety

Ebbli’s AI concierge is designed to be helpful, honest and respectful. It:

• Does not pretend to be human or replace real support.
• Does not make guarantees it cannot support, like promising a match or a relationship outcome.
• Escalates safety concerns to a human team member.
• Protects your privacy and does not share your personal information with a match without your consent.
• Admits uncertainty and encourages verification of claims.

Guidelines Enforcement

Ebbli enforces guidelines against:

• Hate speech and discrimination
• Harassment and abuse
• Sexual exploitation and coercion
• Violence and threats
• Romance scams and fraud
• Misrepresentation of identity or intentions

First violations typically result in warnings or content removal. Repeated or severe violations lead to suspension or permanent removal.

If your account is suspended or content is removed, you can appeal. Contact [email protected] with details. Ebbli will review the decision and respond within 7 days.
